From Page to Screen

Welcome to a recurring series on A Bundle of Books – From Page to Screen! In this series, I discuss the successful (or not so successful) film adaptations of those novels that have been lucky enough to make it to the big screen! The question is “Which is better? The book or the film?”. Whilst bibliophiles everywhere believe that the book is almost always better, I often wonder if maybe the film is just as good but in a different way and if it offers something new to the story. This series unpacks, compares, and analyses books and their film adaptations in an effort to discover if the essence of a story can survive when we do not have to imagine it for ourselves.
